Case Study 1:
Evaluation of the Case Progression Officer’s role by
developing a breakdown of elemental duties from which a
Resource Planner was constructed to assist with current
and future staff planning requirements. This was a
national project, carried out a a number of key
locations and across multiple functions; including the
CPS, Crown & Magistrates Courts, Police and Probation
Services.
Case Study 2:
Project support, mentoring and advice provided within
local probation office team. Delivery of in- house
Service Development Sessions.
Case Study 3:
A service wide pre-technology benchmarking and
measurement exercise which impacted both locally and
nationally. Review, map & measurement programme, as part
of national directive to raise productivity; covered 5
areas, identifying in excess of 50% improvement in one
area, with an average of 18% with overall potential
savings in excess of £3.5M/ per annum, equating to an
extra 84 operational officers. Results were delivered at
the Activity Based Costing national conference, with
many of PSL’s measurement and monitoring techniques
being implemented
Case Study 4:
Provision of senior management support, process
mapping and job evaluation for the Young People’s Drug
Service. Facilitator for a strategy “away day” to enable
true understanding of job roles and functions and to
develop a culture of team working amongst diverse
professionals.
Case Study 5:
Provision
of senior management personnel, covering a number of key
roles within the service, on a consulting basis.
